Acer K10 Pico-projector introduces LED technology

acerk10pico-projectorAcer, a known name in the field of computers and laptops now has now introduced itself in the field of projectors with its new Acer K10 Pico-projector. The Acer K10 Pico-projector is claimed to be the first projector of Acer brand to use the LED lamp technology. So far all Acer projectors available in the market were based on DLP technology, but this all new K10 Pico-projector is a combination of both DLP with LED lamp technology.

Weighing approximately 1.21 lbs or 0.55 Kg and measuring 127 x 122 mm in dimension, the Acer K10 Pico-projector is one among the smallest and lightest group of projectors available today. The Acer K10 Pico-projector features enhanced contrast, sharpness and vividness of images of the DLP technology combined with the high picture quality of the LED lamp technology. As compared with the traditional lamps, the LED technology of K10 Pico-projector is equipped with some of the advance features. There is actually no need of replacement of lamp as the lifetime of a LED is around 20,000 hours. Also, there are no chances of breaking of filaments or tubes, thus increasing its durability. It also ensures better saturation of color and contrast performance. This compact size projector is featured with 100 ANSI Lumens, capable of providing detailed images of up to 60 inches diagonal and having a contrast ratio of 1000:1. Although tiny in size, but the Acer K10 Pico-projector ensures high performance with crystal clear projections. The Acer SmartFormat technology is another attractive part of K10 as it helps in supporting both 4:3 and widescreen displays. So, now there’s no need to adjust the resolution of your wide-format notebook anymore. The projector also supports up to 40 degrees vertical and auto Keystone correction. This helps in producing a rectangular image instead of a trapezoidal one, thus making K10 perfect for smaller environments.

As compared to the traditional lamps, the Acer K10 with LED technology does not produce any toxic substances such as mercury or halogen gases. The auto-shutdown feature of the projector shuts down the projector automatically after a certain period that is fixed by the user. This helps in reducing the consumption of electricity.
