Acer K10 projector reviews

acerk10projectorAcer’s K10 projector is different than other projectors in more ways then one. First of all, it does away with the conventional halogen or mercury lamp that is responsible for providing a projector all the required heat or light. Secondly, it is quite big in size. Let us talk about the light source in this projector. In the Acer K10, light is supplied via a bright LED source. This LED source generates sufficient light and little heat. This in turn makes this source much more efficient in changing power to light. These days, the markets are full of projectors that rate themselves around 2,000 lumens, but this device takes pride in rating itself at around 100 lumens.

There are other facts about this projector. It is really less bright than almost all conventional business or home cinema digital projectors. This means that you can not use it for hard core business or home use. You can of course use it has a secondary device but not as a primary one. In a dark room, the images produced by this device are excellent. The projector offers a native resolution of 858 × 600 pixels. This projector boasts of handling an SVGA input with élan.

This device is DLP-based and you will notice hardly any shimmer in the images produced by it. You can use this projector as a secondary TV or movie projector. If you need this projector to work as your secondary in business to display presentations, it’s a go ahead for you. But you will also notice that the cooling fan of this projector is pretty noisy. The back of this device comprises standard analogue VGA and composite inputs. Its top panel houses push-button controls. You can operate the on-screen menu of the device through these buttons. The on-screen menu lets you perform keystone controls and the usual colour and size corrections.

This projector is the ultimate tool for an executive who wants to do a quick presentation at a small meeting. The projector features a separate, black-block power supply. This power supply is capable of running off the standard power supply that is present in Acer’s current range of laptops, meaning you can use the same supply between your Acer laptop and this projector. The K10 features a standard camera tripod as part of its shipment. The Acer K10 projector is available at a price of £392.
