Alpine intros NVE-M300 GPS navigation drive


alpine-nve-m300Alpine has come up with the launch of its latest NVE-M300 GPS navigation drive. The new device is said to incorporate turn-by-turn navigation functionality to Alpine’s iXA-W404 head units and IVA-W505 Audio/Video (AV).

Measured up to 4 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ x 1″, users can easily install the new black box navigation module behind the dashboard.

As the reviews, the built-in OnPoint GPS positioning of the device lets you determine the exact location of the vehicle’s icon on the map even when there is no GPS reception, such as in a tunnel or under heavy foliage and around tall buildings. This technology makes use of satellite-connected GPS data, accelerometer technology for locating the vehicle’s speed and solid-state gyro sensor technology for exact direction.

Stephen Witt, VP, marketing, Alpine Electronics, was quoted to have said that the NVE-M300 allows us to provide an enhanced GPS navigation experience at a minimum price. The customers can make use of the NVE-M300 drive to add GPS navigation with ease to their iXA-W404 of IVA-W505 AV head units.

Besides, the device is also featured with other attributes such as intuitive and trouble-free graphical user interface, Text-to-speech technology and voice-guided driving directions. It also comes featured with bright and big icons with large buttons thus allowing trouble-free identification of commands and maneuvers.

The device is also encompassed with assistive mapping visuals display essential driving information such as Highway Junction View and One-Way Street icons. The NVE-M300 has the Navteq maps of the Canada and United States plus 6 mln exclusive (POIs) Points of Interest such as movie theaters, restaurants, hotels, grocery stores and gas stations.

The NVE-M300 also boasts of offering customizable options. It comes with a palette of 8 menu colors and 4 map colors, which you can use according to your choice. It also has an option of language like Spanish, French and English.

The NVE-M300 GPS Navigation Drive can be availed with the price tag of around $450.
