Asus has recently launched another notebook with high-end performance. The new Asus N81Vg is said to be the world’s first notebook to be featured with the new nVidia GeForce GT 120M Graphics Processing Unit. Similar to N80 in its looks, the Asus N81Vg Notebook is considered to be the brother of N80 model.
Equipped with a 14 inch LED-backlit LCD display and supporting Intel Core 2 Duo processors including T9400, P8600, P8400, P7350, T6600, T6400, T5900 and T5800 models. The notebook can be configured with SATA hard disk of capacities 160 GB, 250 GB, 320 GB or 500 GB. Asus N81Vg supports up to 4GB DDR2 800 MHz 2 sockets RAM, DVD SuperMulti burner or Blu-ray drive and Intel PM45 Express Chipset. It is also integrated with a built-in 1.3 Megapixel Webcam. The most attractive and important features of Asus N81Vg notebook is that it is equipped with NVIDIA GeForce GT 120M GPU supporting DirectX 10 and video playback of 1080p HD using NVIDIA’s PureVideo HD technology. With a processing power of 32 cores and GPU GeForce 120M the Asus N81Vg allows you to edit photos, videos and is capable of wrenching films and Blu-ray playback and gaming and comes with Windows Vista installed as the operating system. With 6 cell batteries, the notebook lasts for three hours in Performance mode and four hours in Battery Conservation mode.
Measuring 13.46 x 10.07 x 1.41 inches in dimension or 34.2 x 25.6 x 3.6 cm and weighing approx 5.51 lbs (2.5 Kg), the Asus N81Vg is pretty up to the standard in its design and looks that is overall serious. Although the notebook is capable of handling new games but it is not actually a gaming one. But we are still in a confusing state as the pricing and shipping details of the notebook has not yet been announced yet.
