Asus has announced its new range of slim and ultra thin notebooks with AI Light Sensor technology, the U and UX series. As their reviews, the U and UX Series are designed with a stylish and elegant look and comes with a LED backlit display and glossy LCD lid. With the AI sensor technology, you can adjust the brightness of the LED backlit display automatically. The LED backlit screen and the illuminated chiclet keyboard lets you type even in the dark. The new Asus UX and U series of notebooks not only are examples of intricately crafted design, but also is an example of effortless computing.
An Intel Core2 Duo processor powers both the series. The units are further equipped with a hard disk drive of up to a capacity of 500GB, a memory of 512MB and a chiclet illuminated keyboard, which is a rubber keyboard similar to those found on old ZX Spectrum computers. A dedicated NVIDIA GeForce G 105M powers the so called energy efficient LED backlit display of 15.6 inch for both the series. The Asus U and UX series notebooks are integrated with Altec Lansing speakers featuring SRS sound, which provides you with a high definition audio quality. The UX series has very little to mention other than its slot-in optical drive and a matte glossy finishing. The slot-loading optical drive instead of a DVD tray is meant to keep the weight down. The U series, however, is featured with an illuminated touchpad, which compliments the illuminated keyboard. As the features, the slim UX series in its contrastive matte and gloss finish is an example of both sophistication and boldness while the U series is a combination of style and substance.
There are not much details about both the series at present. There is also no specific news about the pricing and availability of both Asus UX and U series of notebook.
