Asus launches U6V Bamboo Notebook in India

Keeping in mind the adverse effects of global warming and ecological imbalance, Asus has come up with an innovative laptop, which is an eco-friendly and commercial viable. Dubbed as U6V Bamboo Series Notebook, the latest laptop will popularize the concept of green computing in the backdrop of growing concern about global warming and climate change.

The U6V Bamboo series notebook features a casing designed with pure bamboo instead of plain cold steel. The laptop is powered by Green Computing technology. The use of bamboo casing makes the users feel the importance of nature. The laptop goes beyond the RoHS and WEEE standard. The notebook blends technology and nature giving a pleasurable computing experience to the users.

The Bamboo series notebook is portable. You can take it where you like because it weighs just around 1.57 kg. The laptop is energy efficient due to the inclusion of a Super Hybrid Engine in the device. The laptop reduces the carbon dioxide emission by 12.3kg per year. The laptop integrates environmental friendly components from its creation to recycling to disposal.

The U6V Bamboo series notebook glorifies craftsmanship. The Moso bamboo paneling of the laptop proves it. Not only has the cover, the touch pad of the laptop had also real bamboo fiber patterns. You can also personalize the cover of laptop by engraving a variety of designs by laser etching.

The Super Hybrid Engine of  the Bamboo series notebook saves energy. It also enhances the battery life between 35% and 70%. The laptop enables users to perform their programs at a greater speed.. The bamboo laptop features a built-in camera of 1.3 megapixels with the Asus SmartLogon and LED light features.

Stanley Wu, Country Manager for Notebook business, Asus India, said,  “The launch of Bamboo Series Notebook will usher in a new era of green computing. It will mark a paradigm shift in the way computers are used and manufactured. With the ever increasing concern over global warming and the ecological imbalance, we find it necessary to innovate products that are not only eco-friendly but also commercially viable.”

The Bamboo series notebook sports an Intel Core2 Duo Processor P8600 with Mobile Intel PM45 express chipset and Intel Wi-Fi Link 5100. The laptop supports Windows Vista Genuine Home Premium. It has also Nvidia GeForce 9300M Gs with TAG RAM of up to 1536MB. It also features SATA HDD of up to 320G/5400rpm and an 8-in-1 ultra-slim card reader.
