Asustek soon to debut eco-friendly Bamboo Laptop review

Taiwan-based motherboard maker Asustek Computer, and worldwide leading provider of innovative solutions, has finally come on the board with the debutant of an environment friendly laptop PC, which comes with a casing made of bamboo on Saturday at Taiwan’s IT Month exhibition. The laptop is part of Asus’s hard work to make use of renewable materials in products.
First announced last year, the eco-friendly laptop comes as part of Asus’s hard work to make use of renewable materials in products. The shell of the mobile machine has been made of genuine bamboo, which grows fast, and is utilized broadly all through Asia in furniture, and construction scaffolding, food for pandas, and in artworks.
All set to hit the market soon, the first bamboo laptop is a part of the ASUS U6V series of notebook PCs. The mobile machine will come built-in with a 12.1-inch screen, Intel Core 2 Duo microprocessor, and is compatible with Microsoft’s Windows Vista OS. Asustek has also revealed that its nature-friendly machine comes packed with a series of features intended to put forward both extended battery life and increased performance. Earlier in August, when ASUS made official debut of the notebook, it was claimed that it would provide 70% better battery life, and offer performance gains up to 23%.
The company will put the machines for sale at $1,802 each at the Taipei IT show. It will be made available in Europe and U.S., at an uncertain date, but, there is no announcement of exact date up to now.
IT Month in Taiwan is a show where companies are allowed to exhibit their products, while normally ending up with bargains on IT gear for consumers. The exhibition is hosted by four main cities, not excluding Taipei. The show will be held at (WTC) World Trade Center from Nov. 29 to Dec. 7.
