BlackBerry has always been one of the leading business phones and first choice for working people and businessmen. The combination of organization and communication facilities presented by Blackberry pose a perfect union and hence it is so successful. One of the most popular models of BlackBerry, the Curve 8900 was launched about a year ago. Now, confirmed snapshots of its replacement, Curve 8910 are out on tech forums. There are some major control changes in the new BlackBerry Curve, as the images suggest.
The first noticeable change from previous BlackBerry is the new trackpad-equipped design which replaces traditional trackball which was used in some previous BlackBerry mobiles. Unconfirmed reports also suggest that the new Curve 8910 will support 3G network which was probably the only problem with BlackBerry Curve 8900. Experts believe that BlackBerry 8900 with built-in 3G support will make it quite similar to BlackBerry Bold 9700. That’s pretty much true considering extremely similar feature set these two phones present.
One of the surprising things to be noticed is that traditionally, XX10 titles were given to phones that support GPS. Well, in this case, Curve 8900 had built-in GPS support which is an unchanged feature of Curve 8910. So, what exactly will get updated is still unknown. Experts believe that BlackBerry may consider upgrading its networking capacities to other forms along with GPS support. People would really appreciate this change as more and more countries are switching to faster 4G network.
When spotted in the wild, some other changes were also observed. The most striking of those is the use of BlackBerry OS 5.0.4+ OS which has lots of improvements from its earlier version. Rest of it is pretty same. A large and wide screen and handy QWERTY keypad are best parts of BlackBerry mobiles. Along with these features, BlackBerry Curve 8910 could be a really successful piece if it comes out in a suitable period. But, all these talks are not officially supported as BlackBerry manufacturers are not yet ready to comment on the topic. Consumer response about the new BlackBerry has been great though. People using old Curve 8900 are really happy with what the newer version will offer as many of them had some problems with trackball control.
