Canon PowerShot A2000 IS reviews – an ultra stylish and ultra compact 10 megapixels digital camera


The Canon PowerShot A2000 IS is one of the better cameras in the cannon family of cameras. The camera is a 10 megapixels point and shoot digital camera. The camera features a 6X optical zoom (35mm film equivalent: 36-216mm). The features of the Canon PowerShot A2000 IS include Image Stabilization, ISO 80-1600, and a 3.0? LCD Screen.

The camera measures 4.01 × 2.50 × 1.26 inches or 101.9 × 63.5 × 31.9mm. The camera weighs a mere 6.53 oz, equivalent to 185g.

The stylish and extra compact Canon PowerShot A2000 IS replaces effectively, PowerShot A720 IS. The camera delivers outstanding PowerShot imaging in pocket-sized form, with a design around 25% smaller than its predecessor, the PowerShot A720 IS. A new Easy Mode, featured on the camera allows even complete beginners to take great photos with ease. An added feature of this camera is the 3.0-inch LCD with 230,000 dot resolution.

The camera also houses a dedicated face detection button. The camera comes with 13 preset shooting modes like Portrait, Landscape, Night Scene, Foliage, Snow, Beach, Sunset, Fireworks, Aquarium, ISO 3200, Indoor, Kids & Pets, and Night Snapshot. The white balance settings include Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Tungsten, Fluorescent, Fluorescent H, and Custom. The camera offers a maximum image size of 3648 x 2736 and a maximum video size of 640 × 480, 30 fps. The camera is powered with a USB port and AV output.

The Canon PowerShot A2000 IS being ultra portable and stylish, and with incredibly compact dimensions, is the most portable PowerShot model to date. This new ultra-compact approach is complemented by stylish designs in a range of colors. The smooth, tactile PowerShot A1000 IS comes in a choice of Blue, Brown or Silver colors. The PowerShot A2000 IS features a powerful 6X zoom with a simple, bold design in gunmetal and silver. The Canon PowerShot A2000 IS is available for a price of $249.
