After expanding its Extreme series, Corsair is back with its High Density DDR3 Memory modules, which are exclusively crafted for Intel’s Core i5 and Core i7 processors.
The Corsair DIMMs at present can be availed in triple and dual channel configurations. The 12GB and 8GB module kits come built-in with Corsair’s DHX+ cooling technology. Also known as the CMD8GX3M4A1600C8, the dual channel configuration comes built-in with four matched 2GB modules, which are exclusively crafted for P55 motherboards.
John Beekley, V.P. of Technical Marketing at Corsair, was quoted to say that Windows 7 early adopters and other power users are in need of 8GB and 12GB performance memory solutions for the optimization of their computing experience. This configuration of 12GB and 8GB will help these sophisticated users take full advantage of their high performance rigs, mainly if they frequently shift between difficult tasks such as; video production and video production.
Also known as the CMD12GX3M6A1600C8, the triple channel configuration boasts six matched 2GB and has particularly been crafted for the X58 motherboards. Either of these configurations come with XMP profiles set at 1600MHz. As the features, they are also built-in with CAS latency settings of 8-8-8-24. The two 12GB and 8GB configurations are included with an airflow fan in conjunction with blue highlights, which complement the latest American Racing Blue fins.
As the reviews, these memory modules are also attuned with Windows 7 operating system. According to a study, these modules were found to deliver augmented performance while utilized with configurations of 8GB and higher. The study also came up with the results that these high density modules let users enjoy the augmented memory managing facet of the Windows 7 operating system.
The company has not disclosed any further detail about the availability and pricing of the Corsair High Density DDR3 Memory. We may have to wait a little longer, but the High Density DDR3 Memory modules are sure to make a niche in the market.
