Dell Color Laser 2135cn reviews – a near perfect printer for any small office or workgroup

The Dell Color Laser 2135cn is an excellent office or workgroup companion. At a price of $549, it is the ultimate printing tool for a small or medium sized work organization with extensive printing needs. The 2135cn is capable of printing, faxing and limited scanning over a network. The device can also be used as a standalone fax machine and color copier. The device lacks an automatic duplexer and paper tray options. This makes handling the 2135cn a little less ideal. Its 250-sheet tray is just enough for most small offices printing jobs. The device has a single-sheet manual feeder that lets the user use special paper without having to replace the paper in the tray.

The Dell Color Laser 2135cn is quiet big and bulky. It measures 22.8 by 17.2 by 19.5 inches and weighs a hefty 66 pounds. Dell provides the device with a full set of drivers and software for Windows 2000 SP2. The machine also supports SP4, XP X64, Windows Server 2003 SP1, Windows Server 2003 X64, Vista, Vista X64, and Windows Server 2008.

The 2135cn functions such that if the installation routine with it is run on a USB connection, the install program adds all USB scan drivers to the system. At the same time, a user guide having installation instructions is also copied on the hard drive of the system. The printer has a very printing speed. The engine is sound for 16 pages per minute for monochrome and 12 pages per minute for color. The output quality of the printer is very decent with graphics showing only minor flaws. The colors are very vibrant and the printer recognizes and delivers on almost all fonts in the text, which itself is delivered very well formed. The photo output is very close to true photo quality. With all these excellent features, fast speed, and reasonably high quality output results, the Dell Color Laser 2135cn establishes itself as a strong player for any small office or workgroup.
