Dell has been a household name in the notebook market. When it comes to innovation Dell has never been behind. The 5” Tablet prototype is just what Dell is capable of doing. The 5” Tablet prototype runs on the Google Android OS. The screen sizes other than the prototype model are also being considered. The Tablet market is on the rise with the arrival of Apple iSlate so Dell needs to deliver immensely and impress consumers with its new Tablet.
The Dell 5” inch Tablet prototype model comes with a 5 megapixel camera and a SIM card slot. Other concept model with 10 and 12 inch screen are also being considered. Dell although hasn’t assured the launch of this Tablet but certainly in the age of mobile computing the device would come handy. Users have the advantage of sending photos across tablets. They could be put together and be used as a gaming machine as well.
Dell is trying to incorporate more features into smaller and lighter form. Users have access to their data on the go which redefines ultra portability. Dell had released their first Smartphone last year so they want to expand their mobile market with the new Tablet.

The demand of internet on small devices has prompted Dell to come up with the tablet. The 5” inch screen also adds to the fact that web pages can be viewed much clearer. The tablet also has a removable battery. The tablet looks similar to another Dell product Dell Streak.

The business in tablet industry hasn’t been fruitful for giants like Microsoft or HP so Dell needs to do it all. Mobility of devices is the new trend and with the tablet Dell surely has joined the race. The screen size need some work on Dell’s part. Products like iPod touch might outclass it if the screen size is not scrutinized. Dell officially hasn’t announced any release date and wants to give its customer a surprise. The anticipation may be the only thrill if Dell fails to astonish its consumers. However the consumers and critics wait for the day when Dell finally carves a place for them in the touch screen market.
