Dell unveils Studio XPS desktop in India




Dell has announced the availability of the Studio XPS desktop - a first-class PC, which sports in the latest ultra fast Intel Core i7 processor - in India. Prized at Rs. 86,400, the Studio XPS desktop comes built-in with 512MB ATI Radeon HD4580 graphics card, 24″ flat panel, Blu-ray disc drive, built-in HDMI port and can be customized with a range of complementary high-performance apparatus. Coming up with new style and technology, the Studio XPS PC is made available on Dell India’s official website.

Girish Mehta, Director of Consumer Marketing Dell India, was quoted as saying, “The Studio XPS desktop combines powerful features and technology with a stylish design and is the perfect choice for those who are expanding their multimedia horizons. By bringing this level of performance to the desktop, we are enabling creative journeys of self discovery and self expression.”

Measuring 14.2 x 6.7 x 17.1-inches, the Studio XPS desktop also comes packed with loads of the similar performance and specs that are seen in full-scale high-performance gaming rigs into a tiny, more compact mini-tower sporting beautiful black finish. All systems share the latest Hyper-Threading & Turbo Boost technology of Intel’s cutting-edge Core i7 processor. This technology puts forward on demand grand speed increases as well as brings about up to sixty percent performance upgrading for the newest multi-threaded apps.

The PC brags of supporting up to 1TB of hard drive space and sports in 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows Vista in this way it is capable of using up to 12GB tri-channel DDR3 memory. Besides, it is capable of delivering up to 44% faster video editing and encoding and even in apps like photo retouching, image rendering and editing. The PC also comes built-in with an excess of ports - eight USB 2.0 (4 front, and 4 back), microphone/line in (front and back), two IEEE 1394 (four-pin front, six-pin back), integrated 7.1 audio support (six connectors), S/PDIF, eSata (all back).
