The Vostro is not the most handsome piece of metal you would find, but it is fairly average in looks. At 3.4 cm thickness it is also not very slim and neither is it light weight at around 3 kg. The build is strong and the outer colours provide some spark to the otherwise dull design.
The laptop packs a large 17.3 inch HD LED display with 1600*900 pixels resolution. The anti-glare display works well to keep you happy during continuous usage. The keypad is excellent and certainly as good the Mac Book Air. The keys feel good and the backlit feature makes them easier to use. The trackpad supports multi-gesture but could have been made larger. There are 3 colour options by the names Aberdeen silver, Lucerne red and Brisbane bronze.

The laptop comes with options of the Intel i3, i5, i7 processor. Powered by the Intel second generation i7 2630QM processor turbo boosted to 2.9 GHz, the laptop also incorporates a 6 GB RAM. The hard disk space is 750 GB which is fairly huge for anybody. In the graphics department is the Intel HD graphics but that can swapped for the Nvidia Geforce 525M graphics processor which would satisfy your needs well enough. There is also the Nvidia Optimus technology to help switch your graphics and save power.
There are also the standard Wi-Fi options with the latest Bluetooth V3.0 and 2 USB 3.0 high speed ports which are very impressive since most companies are yet to use them. Along with that are the 2 USB 2.0 ports, VGA and HDMI along with eSATA port, 8 in 1 card reader and a DVD writer. The webcam has an integrated microphone for video calling.

The laptop is priced at over 40000 Indian rupees making it pretty pocket friendly. It is a good laptop for small business needs and even home use with its host of good features coupled with a very low price. The reliability of Dell laptops can never be questioned and their impeccable service record is as good as ever.
