Last few months have been great for multimedia player industry as a bunch of portable multimedia players and a few specialized multimedia mobile phones have been proven to be hits. The market also saw release of Energy Sistem portable multimedia player this week and is also expected to get a few more surprises in this month, if not in this week itself. But, for now, Digital Cube has brought something interesting for music lovers. Their latest portable multimedia player- the i-Station T9 was released this week. To start with, the Digital Cube product supports a huge bunch of codecs that might interest users. Along with usual XviD, DivX and H.264 codecs for video format, the i-Station also supports WMV and MKV formats for high definition video support. Similarly, a few extra codecs in audio side have left the i-Station with a long list including MP3, WMA, OGG, ACC, WAV and PCM codecs. The product is available in four gorgeous colors-white, black, red and blue. The body of Digital Cube i-Station T9 comprises of its huge Touchscreen display. The 4.3 inch Touchscreen TFT display is capable of providing excellent UI and other functions at 480×272p resolution. The i-Station also features an HDMI port which would be very useful if you are watching high definition movies or videos at home as you may transfer the video feed to an external high definition screen. Most people tend to use this option as regularly as they can since it provides them great multimedia experience on-the-fly without having to connect their PC or some other bulky multimedia equipment.
Digital Cube i-Station T9 is powered by Samsung S3PC100 small size process which is also really efficient as far as energy consumption is concerned. The battery life of up to ten hours of video and 20 for audio is more than enough for most users. The i-Station can also be recharged by connecting it with PC or similar external multimedia device.
