Eizo Nanao recently launched its latest 22-inch LCD screen, the Color Edge CG223W. Eizo Nanao was expected to add a few widescreen monitors to its ColorEdge LCD screen series. Eizo’s ColorEdge series just got better with the latest 22-inch widescreen model that supports screen resolution of 1680x1050p. With great characteristics such as 6ms response time and a brilliant contrast ration of 950:1, you can be sure of getting every small detail on the screen.
According to test results, the newest screen from Eizo can cover 95% of Adobe RGB color space. Advanced tests showed that up to 178 degrees of viewing angles were supported in both horizontal and vertical directions.
Eizo Nanao’s newest screen model is also very good looking. With an array of control buttons on its front side (bottom end), it looks really attractive with a perfectly rectangular side area connected with its stand. The screen also rests on a stand that is uniquely designed to give it a better look. The stand also allows height adjustment up to a considerable distance of 174mm which is pretty good considering that it’s a 22-inch monitor.
LCD monitors are selling like hot cakes since past couple of years and old-school CRT monitors are now almost out of contention. No major company manufactures any new models of CRT monitors that were once used with personal computers. With emergence of LCD technology, consumers started expecting a lot more than what CRT had to offer in terms of performance and quality. This led to almost all major computer hardware companies to try their hands in LCD screen market. But, only a few select companies like LG and Samsung succeeded in settling in the zone.
Eizo, in a bid to dig deep in this market, is expected to make the new screen available in the US markets in coming March. It would be a safe season for Eizo as there are no major releases of any LCD screen products at that time. ColorEdge CG223W from Eizo looks really good from first impression and is expected to get a pretty decent response from the market when it gets launched in US with a solid five-year warranty.
