Epson unveils Perfection V30

Japan-based Epson has come up with release of a hassle-free, lightweight, entry-level A4 scanner, which is known as the Perfection V30. Measuring 41mm in height and weighing in at 2.2 kilograms, the Epson Perfection V30 scanner comes with an optical resolution of 4800dpi and 48-bit color depth.

In addition, it also comes built-in with the energy-efficient ReadyScan LED Technology, which is eco-friendly as the ReadyScan LEDs doesn’t contain mercury, consists of low power consumption and heat dissipation and almost no warm up time.

The Perfection V30 comes preset with Copy, Start, Scan-to-PDF functions and Scan-to-Email, for most common scanning tasks. Users can customize these buttons with the help of Epson Event Manager to suit personal preferences.

Apart from all that, the V30 scanner comes built-in with software, which claims to provide a variety of goodies for the visual tweaker. Such as, it has Color Restoration technology, Backlight correction, Dust Removal Tools etc. Documents can be packed into PDF files and mailed around.

The Epson Perfection V30 scanner can be had at the attractive price for Rs. 4,999, and is expected to be made available from December 2008.
