Garmin-Asus Unveil nuvifone G60 GPS Phone




garminnuvifone-g60Keeping its word to make public a line-up of GPS phones, Garmin-Asus – a co-branded alliance between Garmin & ASUSTeK – has come up with the unveiling of its nuvifone G60 GPS phone at the Mobile World Congress. Though I have already given you a brief and sound account of the upcoming phone, but then there was not much to talk about its features. So now get ready to learn what all features the nuvifone has to offer.

The Asus nuvifone M20 is a multi-facets handset, mobile web-browser and navigation system including a Windows Mobile operating system. The dual-band 3.5G/tri-band GSM phone comes built-in attributes such as a large 3.55-inch touchscreen display, 3 megapixel camera along with auto-focus, Wi-Fi connectivity, built-in accelerometer, push email, desktop-like internet browser, document viewing, multi-media capability, Bluetooth and Garmin sat nav.

By virtue of the built-in Ciao, location based services (LBS) application; users can keep an eye on the location of their dear ones, friends and families by connection a variety of location-centric social networks. The phone has been crafted with (LBS) connected to often utilized apps such as calendar, contacts, email, internet apps etc and makes simpler the nüvifone user’s day as they pass through from one location to another.

The navigator-cum-phone also boasts of being preloaded with maps of North America or Western Europe and Eastern, millions of points of interest (POIs) with restaurants, hotels, and street addresses; and give support to turn-by-turn voice prompted directions. Further apps built-in in the G60 are White Pages, real-time traffic information, weather, local events, flight status and movie times.

The nuvifone boasts of a full QWERTY soft keyboard and is easily able to be synced with a PC in order that emails and contacts could be availed all the time. Enterprise grade Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g) and HSDPA wireless connectivity allows emails to send and receive fast, comprising those with attachments.

Garmin-Asus is likely to make public the release and price date of the nuvifone G60 GPS-cum-phone device in Q1 of 2009.
