Though we’ve had numerous environmental-friendly products from hordes of companies, Samsung seems to be concerned more about the environment, that is why, moving a step ahead, the company has now joined hands with Microsoft for the promotion of the usage of energy-efficient computers.

Either of companies are aimed at inspiring users to opt eco-friendly PCs, which is viable with Samsung’s energy efficient 40nm-enabled DDR3 RAM and Microsoft’s Windows 7 OS onboard. The Windows 7 is claimed to have the capacity of decreasing power usage with the latest power management function. In fact, when the latest software is utilized with 40nm DDR3 RAM of Samsung, it allows users to enjoy an enhanced performance with less consumption of power.

Being an initiative of Samsung for the promotion of eco-friendly efforts, the company is also said to lay emphasis on the energy efficiency of current DDR3 memory components and SSD storage.

The usage of higher-density DDR3 memory is claimed to bring considerable reduction in the power intake by around 70% in comparison of DDR2 modules. The power savings is also said to have provenance to lower voltage needs, minimum up to 1.35 volts, and the energy-saving 40nm manufacturing technology. Simultaneously, SSDs is also claimed to have the capacity of saving power around 70%, which is more than other HDD.

In addition, Samsung also said to update its all corporate PCs to Microsoft’s newest OS, which will be started from 2010.

And Samsung seems to have well understood the importance of it. Therefore, the company has rolled out a lot of eco-friendly products.
