Details regarding the new product from Google, called as the Google TV have been lately released. Google plans to team up with Sony and Intel for this new product in which Sony will provide the TV design, Intel will provide the android chips that will power the device and Google will be responsible for the operating system installed and running in the TV. The announcement of this Google TV has started developing a trend for it already before its release. The teaming up of three renowned companies, Google, Intel and Sony has helped in publicity of the product at the speed of light. The reason behind naming the TV set after Google is because Google owns the idea and is providing the basic operating system. The TV will help in popularizing the android technology which Google is already using in its many products.

As the review, the TV will be like any other regular TV but in addition will provide access to the web. The product comes with a set top box and a computer screen thus making it a combination of the TV set and the computer. Word is that companies been approached for designing speakers and QWERTY remotes that will enable the use of this TV cum computer.

As the features, Google TV appears to be close, scaling Google’s speed at development by use of technology. The current TV industry might face a blow on the entry of Google. Only in a few days ordinary TV sets and LCD’s might disappear and be replaced by this exciting new TV cum computer device. The Google TV will also have built-in chrome browser making access to the internet easier.

The basic purpose of this new product from Google is the combination of TV and computer that it offers. The idea that the same device can be used for watching soaps and social networking is unparalleled. Google TV’s might actually substitute computers after release because nobody will need a laptop or a desktop when their TV provides them with internet and other facility.
