HACKED! – An innovative way of keeping the data on your flash drive safe

“Holy crap - somebody just went and TORE MY FREAKING USB CABLE IN HALF while it was still attached to my laptop!” This is the tag line of a new product by ‘Fred and friends’. The little gizmo released by ‘Fred and friends’ is called Hacked! The OH!*#% Flash Drive. It appears just like a cut and worn away normal USB cable. However, it has 2 GB of storage inside. As you plug in this worn away piece of USB cable to your computer, the hidden storage space inside it pops on your screen to reveals its true identity.

When you plug in this device to your laptop or desktop, you are guaranteed to get some weird looks. They might think that it is a crap and you have frayed piece of USB cable attached to your machine, but it is really a hidden storage space. This way you can keep your entire data safe in this flash drive, when you have people surrounding you waiting to lay their hands on your data.

If you feel that almost all of the USB drives in the market look the same, then just wait till you see this innovation. Having all the flash drives of same size and shape makes it difficult to differentiate between them without plugging them in. This is one of the big problems with many computer users. To solve this problem, manufacturers have been coming out with flash drives of different innovative shapes and sizes.

The data on the flash drive is not safe unless you protect it with some locking software that will require a password before giving you access to the data. However, this does not restrict the con men from physically stealing the flash drives as there are many crackers available that can easily break the security barrier of your locking software. With this camouflaged flash drive, your data will be safe even from such kind of attacks. It will just lie on your desk space like a neglected piece of hardware that is of no use to anyone, except off course to a scrap dealer.

Just make sure someone doesn’t “do you a favor” and throw it away!!
