Hitachi outs PXDUO-65P Interactive Plasma Overlay

Here comes yet another innovative device from Hitachi. Christened as the PXDUO-65P, the all new contraptions, according to the company, has the capacity of changing a usual plasma display into a fully-operational multi-touch screen. The device is also touted to be featured with a 65-inch viewing area and makes use of Duo technology of Hitachi, which helps the two separate users employ the display simultaneously.
Delving deep into its features, it is learnt that the Hitachi device also comes included with an electronic pen, which, through its three built-in buttons, helps mouse customize. Plus, the PXDUO-65P also boasts of subsuming 16 function buttons, but, users can customize only 14 buttons. Apparently, users can also manage the plasma overlay with the help of their multi-touch hand gestures.
Apart from all that, the Hitachi plasma overlay is also said to require only 1GB of RAM, Vista and Microsoft Windows XP Operating System including most recent Service pack 300MB of free HDD space and Mac OS X 10.4 or higher, to work with proper efficiency. And if we talk about device’s external dimensions, it comes with 61.3” × 41” × 2.6” and boasts of weighing just 21 lbs.
In addition to Hitachi PXDUO-65P Interactive Plasma Overlay, the package also comes included with electronic pen, AAA battery and two retractable styluses. So far, there is no word from the company as to the pricing of this device, but it is confirmed that PXDUO-65P comes along with a 1-year limited warranty.
As the reviews, Hitachi has already made its name in the world of electronic gadgets and its launch of this device will surely work as a magnet for the gadget-freaks. And as far the market presence of Hitachi, it can be said that it has always tried to please its costumers by rolling out latest and greatest product.
Now what exactly has to be seen through this product is that if it will make a niche in the market like other products from the company has done so far.
