How To Improve Wireless Internet Connectivity

Wireless internet comes with different speeds. If you are trying to download a large file wirelessly over the internet, and your internet speed is around half an mpbs, chances are that it will take a lot of time.

You will often be uncomfortable with the slow connection speed and might silently cuss at the ISPs.Most wireless connections happen through a wireless router. Talking about wireless routers, they are hardware that can breakdown data into packets, and get them ready to be transmitted over a network.

Most wireless routers don’t deliver the much promised data delivery and speed. When you compare them with the traditional wire-based internet service, they are quite slow.  But you need to understand that wireless technologies are so much dependent on good climatic conditions, and also low-interference. You might wonder if I am talking about an aero plane, but actually it’s not aero plane, it’s into aerial-plane dynamics!

These are some tips to improve the range of your wireless internet connectivity.
Don’t place the wireless router against solid and opaque walls! Thinking “yeah, this guy operates on radio signals, and he can suck these signals through.” Well it actually does not work that way.

Give the wireless router some space all around. You don’t need to mount it on your terrace, but give the wireless router just that little space. Don’t keep the wireless router around drawers, cupboards, cabinets, or wardrobes that are metallic. Don’t keep the wireless router on the floor.

Get a wireless router that transmits signals in one direction, rather than that which pans signals in a 360 degree angle. You might want to check with your local computer store to supply you an antenna that does that for the wireless router. If you are still facing problems, have a look at the wireless network adapter in your laptop. Change loyalties to a USB network adaptor. Modern laptops do have really cool and well functioning in-built wireless network adapters.

Another way is to get a wireless repeater. This device is also called as expander. It increases the coverage capacity of your wireless network point. You need to set it up at a point, such that it can pass on signal-batons to and fro from common network access points. Having multiple repeaters means greater network coverage.
