HP intros Affordable Widescreen LCD Monitors
Hewlett-Packard has announced the launch of three brand-new LCD monitors. The trio of S2031, S2231 and S2331 is certainly a value proposition for the customers.
Undoubtedly, affordability is the key word among all the three monitors. Moreover, taking into account their price tags, they are quite regular on feature front and are targeted to home and office users both.
On the specs front, first one, S2031 beats its price. Its 20-inch wide screen supports up to 1600×900 pixels resolution and has 250cd/m2 brightness. In addition, it brings in a built-in dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000:1, with a response time of 5 milliseconds. Regardless of all the right efforts, pricing pressure is seen in the exterior covering as the plastic can be easily scratched. Priced at $150, it also boasts of D-sub and DVI inputs.
Second to come up is S2231, which is a bit sharper in terms of its features. It comes built-in with a full HD display that proffers about 1920×1080 pixels resolution and 300cd/m2 brightness. Similar to the first one, its display also offers 5ms response time besides being anti-glare. On top of it all, the new offering from HP brings in a contrast ratio of 15000:1 complete with a panel size of 21.5-inches. It will be available for grabs in the market at $175.
Last but not the least to brag of in this line-up is 23-inch S2331 LCD monitor that bears a lot of resemblance to S2231 in terms of its features. This also comes built-in with an anti-glare full HD display with up to 1920×1080p resolution. Further noteworthy attributes of S2331 LCD monitor are: 15000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a response time of 5ms, and D-Sub and DVI inputs along with a brightness of 300cd/m2. Priced at around $220, S2331 LCD monitor will come in the market. One common thing in all the three LCD monitors is a warranty of one year.
So, to sum it up, these three lcd monitors cater to the needs of all those who prefer monitors with standard features for their PCs. Those die hard gamers and professionals who prefer to have expensive devices are very few in number as compared to the mainstream one. So, it’s a good offer for most of the users.
