HP has revamped its Compaq family with the launch of its two latest additions. The new additions are known as the Compaq 515 and the Compaq 610. Both the laptops are touted to feature almost similar specifications. However, both laptops too differ in some aspects, that is; the Compaq 515 gives support to AMD, whereas the 610 backs up the Intel.
As the reviews, these laptops give the impression of the bland office type devices, but the LED backlight makes them a little bit interesting.
Let’s first talk about a 14.1-inch HP Compaq 515. This laptop gets its power from AMD Athlon X2 processor. On the other hand, the laptop is also claimed to work well with the Turion X2 processor. It also has an ATI Radeon HD 3200 built-in graphics card, which help provide graphics.
Next to talk of is the 15.6-inch HP Compaq 610, which is touted to back up both Celeron Dual Core processors and Intel Core 2 Duo. This laptop also comes featured with Intel’s GMA X3100 in-built chipset.
Either of the laptops comes featured with around 250GB of hard drive space and 3GB RAM. They also have a DVD burner. The two laptops are similarly featured with mono speaker, Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity, microphone, ExpressCard slot, SD memory card slot, three USB 2.0 ports and VGA output.
The users are provided with the options of choosing between the Windows Vista Basic and the Windows Vista Business in the form of their operating system. The HP Compaq 610 and HP Compaq 515 come with their respective price tag that starts from $449 (approx. Rs. 30,780) and $429 (approx. Rs. 29,410).
Though both the laptops are similar on the features or specs fronts, they are different in their look. Already there have been many laptops that made a niche with their glaring specs and features in the market, now let’s see what these feature wise twin brother can do.
