HP intros Envy 13 and 15 Notebooks PC

Hewlett-Packard (HP) is trying to brace itself for the end-of-year buying seasons with the launch of its latest thin notebook computers, a stylish nettop and a new all-in-one-PC. By its Envy 13 and Envy 15 models, HP has debuted its premium line of laptops.
Respectively, touting 13.1-inch and 15-inch LCD displays, the latest Envy 13 tips the scales at 3.74 lbs and 0.8-inches thick, whereas the Envy 15 is packed with the latest Core i7-720QM CPU.
The Envy comes packed with ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330 to offer superior graphics. An Intel Core 2 Duo powers the rest, while the optional Slim Fit Extended-Life battery is claimed to provide about 18 hrs of life. The 13-inch machine also boasts of both a 4-cell Li-Ion internal power pack and a 6-cell battery slice that the ultra-portable can optionally sit on top of. The Envy 13 is also touted to offer support for 5GB of DDR3 memory with 250GB, 5400 rpm hard-drive. Featured with WiFi a/g/n, Bluetooth, gigabit Ethernet, two USB 2.0 ports, Envy 13 encompasses an external optical drive.
As the name implies, the Envy15 also comes embedded with 15-inch widescreen, which can be availed in two resolutions; 1,366-by-768 0r 1,920-by-1,080. The 15-inch machine is one-inch thick, and at 5.2 pounds, and is weighed as much as the Apple MacBook Pro 15-inch. Similar to the Envy 13, the Envy 15 also boasts of an extended 85Wh battery, including six-cell battery. The Envy also boasts of offering an advantage of the 1080p resolution. HP will offer an USB-connectable Blu-ray drive as an option.
At 3.74 pounds, the Envy 13 is heavier than the MacBook Air’s 3 pounds but lighter than Adamo’s 4 pounds. As the reviews, the HP Envy 13 comes with the introductory price of around $1,699. Both the Envy 13 and 15 will feature Microsoft’s Windows 7 OS, and are expected to be shipped in sometime after Microsoft’s Windows 7 launch on October 18.
By introducing its HP Envy sub-brand, the company has redefined its premium notebook PC experience. The high-performance and precision-designed notebooks are built-in with HP concierge service, support and metal etching.
