HP unboxed TouchSmart tm2 convertible notebook PC


The HP TouchSmart tm2 is the new creation from HP. Built on HP TouchSmart software, the convertible notebook PC boasts of multi-touch technology and allows users to opt for the input method and product configuration, which is suitable for them. Users can use this like a usual notebook along with keyboard and touch-enabled display for input and like a slate camouflaged as a sketchpad alongside digital pen.

The softest touch of users is responded by its capacitive multitouch display technology & the multitouch gestures, such as; scroll, zoom and rotate prove to be of high comfort. The tm2 boasts of offering a full notebook experience, coming in aluminum design along with “Riptide” inlayed illustration.

Driven by the newest low-voltage Intel Core 2 Duo processors, it also allows users to go for elevated multimedia performance ATI Mobility Radeon distinctive graphics upgrades. Besides, the TouchSmart tm2 convertible notebook PC comes built-in with standard six-cell battery, which brags of providing a battery backup of around 9hrs. Plus, to maintain the machine cool, it also comes with an augmented thermal design and fingerprint reader.

The high-performance is further elevated with the touch applications. The apps are called as the BumpTop, a touch-augmented 3-D interface, Corel Paint it! Touch and DigiFish Dolphin interactive 3-D screensaver. The tm2 also comes crammed with a lot of touch-capable apps applications.

Last but not the least; the tm2 is also packed with touch-based Netflix app, while taking into account the environmental initiative of HP, the device has no brominated polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and flame retardants (BFRs).

This HP machine is slated to be made available on January 17 with the price tag of about $949, which is about Rs. 43,825, according to Indian currency. However, what truly has to be viewed here is if the latest product will be able to stand tall among the others. Let’s wait and watch.
