HTC HD2 Windows Phone lands in India

HTC’s HD2 Windows handset is now all set to hit the selves of India. Featuring the HTC Sense, the ultra-thin phone comes included with a 4.3-inch ‘capacitive touch’ display that boasts of high-resolution and allows viewing brighter, sharper, and clearer images.
The ‘capacitive touch’ display, of HD2 is touted to help zoom, view and resize Microsoft Office files, websites, PDF docs and images with great ease, with just flick of a finger.
Driven by the latest 1 Ghz Snapdragon mobile processor of Qualcomm, HTC is also said to improve the speed of a variety of apps.
Ajay Sharma, Country Head, HTC India, was quoted to have said the HTC HD2 is the 1st Windows handset, embodying the HTC Sense user interface that helps handset be highly intuitive, attractive and a delight to use. Driven by Windows Mobile 6.5, the HD2 comes in-built-in with innovative technology and fashionable looks to offer a higher and smooth experience to the customers.
The HTC HD2 phone comes with a special offer from Tata DoCoMo. The offer allows its subscribers to surf the Net and download 500MB of data per month free of charge for up to 6 months.
Swanking the efficient and robust capabilities provided by Windows Mobile 6.5, the new device is also said to offer a superb e-mail experience and allows synchronization with Microsoft Exchange. Besides, the HD2 also boasts of Microsoft’s most recent My Phone service, which allows automatic synching and backup photos, music, contacts and text messages to the web for free of charge.

The HTC HD2 is expected to be introduced via HTC resellers with the priced tag Rs. 39,990 in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, while, in the other parts of the country, the device will come for Rs. 36,990.
