HTC launches slim QWERTY smartphone

HTC has come up with a sleek and slim QWERTY smartphone known as HTC Snap (HTC S522), which is enriched with host of attractive features to lure the customers. To being with, it supports HTC’s innovative Inner Circle technology that makes it easier for you to prioritize email automatically from a group of preselected people.
Coming to the display screen, the smartphone has a 2.4 inch QVGA (320 x 240 pixels resolution) display screen along with 2 megapixel camera. This feature enables you to click images and store them in your handset. It also supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It means that you can enjoy photo, video and music services wirelessly.
Thanks to the GPS technology, the HTC Snap smartphone will make it easier for the users to track geographic locations. So, the handset will be useful while traveling.
The HTC Snap is powered by 1500mAh battery that provides 8.5 hours of talk time and 15.8 days of standby time. Other features include 528MHz Qualcomm CPU, Full QWERTY keyboard and High-speed 3G HSPA connectivity.
John Wang, Chief Marketing Officer of HTC Corporation explained, “Recognizing that people are being overwhelmed by an avalanche of email, the HTC Snap introduces Inner Circle, an HTC innovation that makes it easy for people to prioritize messages from the most important people in their lives at the press of a button,”.
He added, “The HTC Snap represents the latest step in HTC’s mission to create a range of innovative smartphones, each with specific benefits designed to both surprise and delight our customers.”
Measuring 4.59 x 2.42 x 0.47-inches and weighing just 4.23 oz, the HTC Snap smartphone operates on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard platform.
The HTC Snap smartphone will be available during the second quarter of 2009. However, the company did not announce the price of the smartphone.
