Taiwanese smart phone Manufacturer Company High Tech Computer Corporation (HTC) announced to release their smart phone in Jan, 2010 which is again based on Google’s Android Operating System as was its 2009 releases. HTC was initially made their mobile phones based on Microsoft’s Windows mobile software but from 2009 they switched their focus to Android OS. This phone is known as HTC Supersonic HD2.
According to HTC, this smart phone consists of an OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) touch screen display which is diagonally 4.3 inch long. Though the OLED used in supersonic is 0.6 inch longer than 3.7 inch OLED used in its previous releases but the resolution of the screen or pixel is same like before 800X480. HTC Supersonic runs in Android 2.1 OS with HTC Sense user interface which is based on TouchFLO 3D UI technology.
Like HTC’s previous US version of HD2 smart phone, Supersonic also runs in 1GHz Snapdragon processor that provides faster accessibility to users and has 1GB of Read Only Memory (ROM). It is also equipped with a rechargeable long life battery, FM radio and a low quality in built camera similar to the Nexus one. The Android version of the Windows Mobile HTC HD2, Supersonic smart phone also supports WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) broadband wireless telecommunications technology.
HD2 has a kickstand at its back as was in HTC’s Imagio on Verizon. It is most probably 11 mm thick, but we don’t have exact dimensions as HTC didn’t disclose many important factors like the product’s shape, size, color, price, availability, compatibility etc, although it is seen in white color already and expected to be found in different colors. It is rumored that this WiMAX smart phone will also run in T-Mobile network.
The marketing responsibilities are given to Sprint, who will sell the phone with or without a contract with sales after March, 2010 hopefully. Due to some software problem HTC yet not decided Supersonic’s launching date but it is expected to be released internationally within mid 2010. High degrees of refinement have been done to this product compare to its ancestors that is why we may hope that HTC “Quietly Brilliant” can keep up the leading position after releasing Supersonic mobile phones.
