New HTC Touch Cruise with avant-garde HTC Footprints boasts advanced Location-Based Experience

HTC (High Tech Computer Corporation) has come up with the updated version of their all the rage HTC Touch Cruise smartphone-(same name) latest HTC Touch Cruise, which the company claims, brags of a novel, more sophisticated and compact design, sporting a lot of new-fangled capabilities, and avant-garde HTC Footprints geo-tagging app that users can make use of chronicling their valuable moments permanently by taking a digital postcard on their smartphone.
According to HTC, “Once captured, Footprints provides the ability to take notes and an audio clip of that favorite restaurant or special place while identifying its specific geographical location. In addition to identifying each postcard with its specific GPS co-ordinates, Footprints also auto-names each postcard with its general location or area.”
Peter Chou, President and CEO, HTC Corporation, was quoted as saying, “Just as we have seen GPS technology transform how people navigate to new places, we are now seeing location-based applications like HTC Footprints changing how we interact and carry our memories.”
As its reviews, the new HTC Touch Cruise features 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM7225 chipset, 512 MB flash ROM, 256 MB RAM, 2.8-inch TFT-LCD touch-sensitive screen along with QVGA resolution. It also comes built-in with 3.2 megapixel camera with geo-tagging and fixed focus, HTC TouchFLO, 4-Way navigation wheel with Enter and HTC Footprints buttons. The built-in car cradle boasts of transforming your smartphone into a user-friendly turn-by-turn navigator.
The smartphone also has bluetooth 2.0 with Enhanced Data Rate and A2DP for stereo wireless headsets. Additionally, it has GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, WCDMA/HSPA: 900/2100MHz. HSDPA 7.2 Mbps connectivity, Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS, MicroSD memory expansion slot, HTC ExtUSB interface, Talk time (GSM): up to 400 minutes ; Standby time (GSM): up to 2 weeks.
Measured 102 x 53.5 x 14.5mm and weighed only 103 grams, the latest HTC Touch is expected to be made available in spring 2009.
