There is a famous saying: Jack of all trades, master in none. But taking into account the latest move of Intel, it seems the saying has come to a change that is; it has now become; jack of all trades, but master in one. And that seems to being done by Intel that has plans to step into different markets of mobile internet devices. Prior there was Fujitsu, Hyundai and now one of the well-known PC giants has decided to give complex to the big boys of the tech world. Well time will tell about it, for the time it is sure and certain that Intel has decided to vie with some of its long-time partners such as Apple and Microsoft.
In order to implement its plans, it is also said that Intel has started brining about its Linux software known as Moblin 2 in terms of the operating system of its latest product, which will apparently be in creator’s hands till the end of this month and which Intel claims to be a novel class of “mobile Internet devices.”
Rob Enderle, president and principal analyst at the Enderle Group, was quoted as saying, “Intel is going to be entering solidly into Apple’s space. It will make for an interesting next decade.”
The latest decision of Intel has sent a shiver among a few analysts. The move is aimed at tapping into the mounting market for smartphones and portable chips. According to some speculations Intel may come up with the release of a low-budget smartphone, which will taste all and sundry. What ever be the case or situation right now, but one thing is crystal clear that the current venture of Intel will also jeopardize its association with its longtime collaborator Microsoft. I don’t know who will win the rate-race, but as a result of all this, the customers will make most out of it.
