Microsoft announces the release of beta 2 version of Internet Explorer 8

Microsoft, the largest software maker of the world, releases a second test version of the mostly used web browser of the world – Internet Explorer 8. Rich with features, this test version is a replica of some of the amazing features of Mozilla Firefox. The beta 1 version of Internet Explorer 8 was released in March giving an opportunity to the web developers to have the first look of it. Now comes the beta 2 version with enhanced privacy settings, security and easy usage, thus aiming for a broader section of consumers.

As its review, this latest version of Internet explorer is packed with features that are found in Firefox 3. One such feature is the ‘Smart’ address bar, which has the brain to remember and then redirect user to the website addresses visited by them earlier – really smart enough. Internet Explorer 8 also offers its users with a mode called ‘InPrivate Browsing’, which is responsible of ensuring that the History, Temporary Internet Files and Cookies as well does not get recorded on the user’s system. In addition, there is a security feature in that helps the user to block the contents coming from any third party, who is trying to track the online behavior of the user. Moreover, some of the already announced features have also been updated in this new test version. One such feature is the ‘Activities’, by which the user can access and use all the information that are available on one page with help of an online service like mapping. For this the user does not have to leave the original site.

The beta 2 version of Internet Explorer 8 is available for downloading at www.microsoft.com/ie8. However, Microsoft has not yet disclosed their plan of launching IE8 officially. But we can look forward for regular updates on the Internet Explorer – world’s most widely used web browser.
