Another addition to the line of Jawbone Bluetooth headsets has been announced by Aliph – the Jawbone PRIME. Like the one’s before of the same series, the latest Jawbone PRIME also bears the sleek trend and is added up with an enhanced noise suppression technology. As compared to its previous generations, the Jawbone PRIME is associated with much improved “NoiseAssassin” technology offering an improvement level of 6dB to 9dB in noisy environments.
The NoiseAssassin 2.0 technology as integrated in this latest Jawbone series, is based on a Voice Activity Sensor (VAS). With this technology, the device has the capability of detecting when a user is talking, just by sitting in front of the face. The Jawbone PRIME is also featured with another technology, the Acoustic Voice Activity Detector (AVAD), which acts as a backup in the noise suppression process. Weighing approximately 10 grams, the Jawbone PRIME headset has a range of approximately 10 meters or 33 feet. The headset is featured with multipoint functionality, which helps it to get connected to two Bluetooth devices at the same time. The Jawbone headset device supports Bluetooth 1.1, 1.2, 2.0, 2.1 with EDR as well. The headset offers a talk time of up to 4.5 hours with a standby time of more than 8 days. Care has been taken to optimize the performance of the headset in windy conditions and Digital Signal Processing technology helps in reconstructing the distorted and low frequency speeches, especially in windy condition of up to 10 mph.
Set to hit the market on May 2 with a price of USD $129.99, the Jawbone PRIME offers a range of colors and earbud options. The earbud options consist of three earbuds, three Fit earbuds in new design and an optional earloop. It offers four new EarCandy colors including red, yellow, green and lilac joined with matte black, satin brown and platinum.
