Kodak is all set to take the wraps off its Kodak Zx1 Handheld Camcorder at the CES 2009, which, similar to the Zi6, as the company claims, will come featured with 720p HD resolution video capture at 60fps and trouble-free YouTube uploading embedded with a weather resistant design bragging of IP43 certification. With the launch of Zx1 Kodak has proved that the new model will supersede Zi6 720p YouTube Camcorder.
The Kodak Zx1 Handheld HD Camcorder gives the impression a brick when likened to others in the world of mini-camcorder though a literally striking brick. Mini-camcorders aren’t unusual any longer and even HD mini-handheld cameras are getting increasingly more widespread so the Kodak Zx1 Handheld Camcorder got its work cut-out from the start if it was to come up and out from the crowd.
John Blake, General Manager Digital Capture and Devices, Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company, who introduced Kodak’s new Zx1 camcorder, was quoted as saying, “More than ever, people want to capture moments on the go and quickly and easily share them. The Zx1 is a fun and interactive way to engage in this kind of storytelling – it’s both small and smart, and enables people to record virtually anything, virtually anywhere, and then quickly upload content to video-sharing and social networking websites.”
Key Features of Kodak Zx1 include:
•High-quality video capture in bright light or low light – from the beach, to the nightclub
•Expandable SD/SDHC Card slot for memory cards up to 32 GB, that can record up to 10 hours of HD video
•Weather-resistant design that stands up to splashes, dirt and more – IP43 certified
•Easy editing, personalization, and uploading to YouTube or other Internet sites with built-in video software, ArcSoft Media Impressions for Kodak
•Pre-charged AA Ni-MH rechargeable batteries and battery charger included, saving money and avoiding waste from used batteries
•Sensitive, low distortion microphone that provides crisp, clear audio
•Vibrant 2.0? LCD
•Remote control compatible (remote control sold separately).
•Available in five colors: black, red, pink, blue and yellow
•Easy HDTV playback with included HDMI cable

The Kodak Zx1 YouTube camcorder is slated to be rolled out in April with the price tag of around $150.
