Kogan Agora is the world’s second Android-based smartphone


World’s 2nd Google Android gPhone has popped up in Australia. Known as the Kogan Agora, the new mobile phone is updated in 2 versions, the standard Agora and the Agora Pro. This is the 1st cell phone in Australia, which sprints down on the Android platform.

The Agora phone looks pretty cool as it comes in the dynamic black color, and is built-in features with all the avant-garde specifications of iPhone or G1. The standard Agora comes built-in with a 2.5 inch touch screen display and a full QWERTY keyboard. In addition, it has a central navigation key and is capable of supporting 3G connectivity. The Agora Pro also comes built-in with the likewise characteristics and is integrated with a 2 megapixel camera and can back up GPS system. It too comes into Bluetooth connectivity.

Kogan was quoted as saying, “It has been a long time supporter of open source and Android provides a real alternative to Apple’s proprietary operating system for the iPhone. Google is a key player in developing efficient and innovative online solutions for customers around the world. The open source nature of Android means the operating system will continually improve over time.”

As its review, the Kogan Agora phone comes incorporated with apps such as YouTube, Gmail, Google Talk, Google Maps, Google search and lots of more services and applications provided by Google. The Kogan Agora phone allows its users to immediately make access to internet via their devices and benefit from full web application services. It also brags of customized home screen for bendy use and for fast access to e-mails, text messages and IM notifications.

The most-anticipated mobile phone is available now, the standard Agora comes with the price tag of around 300 Australian dollars (approx. Rs. 9, 590) and the Agora Pro comes with 400 Australian dollars (approx. Rs. 12, 800) for Agora pro.
