Vivaz, one of the best looking mobile phones manufactured by Sony Ericsson in a long time; was recently detailed by them officially. There made us wait for a long time before finally announcing Sony Ericsson Kurara U5 as Vivaz. Detailed screenshots as well as a preview in video form is now available on their website. From its screenshots, one can safely say that Sony Ericsson have designed a masterpiece with incredibly great body and awesome touchscreen. The smartphone will be available in four vibrant colors- cosmic black, galaxy blue, venus ruby and silver moon. Curved body of Sony Ericsson Vivaz is said to be inspired from curvature of human body.
Sony Ericsson Vivaz will run Symbian Touch OS (S60 platform) and it is expected to be an eye candy with its extra-wide 640x360p display. Other features of the phone include connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, GPS and HSDPA. Vivaz also features a great 8.1 megapixels camera with autofocus, LED flash and other advanced camera features such as face detection and image stabilization. The elite smartphone from Sony Ericsson will also support 720p HD video recording. A powerful 720MHz CPU hidden beneath the 3.2-inch display will provide extreme multimedia experience. Coupled with 3.5mm audio jack, Vivaz promises extreme music experience.
It is understood that Sony Ericsson will be shipping Vivaz with 8GB microSD slot that will provide enough memory to store quite a few HD videos that users might record. One can also enjoy these HD videos on high definition external screens using dedicated TV-out port which is seen only in high end multimedia phones. Speaking of its structure, there are just three physical buttons at bottom of its massive screen and a few shortcut keys at its side such as camera and volume/zoom control. Shiny backside features nothing but the camera lens which suits the whole design really well.
It will be Sony’s second full-touchscreen enabled smartphone working on Symbian OS. The Sony masterpiece is expected to be available in a few months for a non-disclosed price tag. But, considering its brilliant features and stunning looks, one should expect nothing less than a bomb. The phone was not expected to be officially announced so early. But a possible slip occurred by someone at Sony which caused entire press release to go live on their website. It was quickly removed though, leaving photos and videos behind.
