LAPTOPS fired up with graphics power- a profile


When the so called desktop machines are ruling over the PC gaming territory, there is some good news for the Laptop lovers in the end. Laptops at last have given their attention to some serious graphics and velocity issues. Dell’s enthusiast oriented brand Alienware and Toshiba individually made some break through in gaming zone.

Alienware has installed two powerful ATI Mobility Radeon TM HD 3800 series graphics processors from the house of AMD in Alienware M17 Notebook PC. The M17 has given awesome graphics muscle to its core introducing the Crossfire Technology in the Laptops. The M17 is the first ever notebook PC in the world from a majority well-known manufacturer to include the AMD’s ATI Cross Fire X multi GPU technology. ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3800 series allows the support for Blu-Ray and High Definition video imbued with AMD’s Unified Video Recorder. This results in a smooth HD media playback with sharp, rich video and crisp images with vibrant colors. Being a true and strong depicter of the AMD’s amazingly advanced graphics technology the M17 notebook provides gamers with new and exciting gaming experience. The ATI HD 3800 series also offers support for the latest Microsoft DirectX 10.1 games with incredible performance level, combined with the Cross Fire technology that gives a blast to the games.

In the competition, Toshiba has launched two of its new line-ups with high-end graphics power. The latest models namely the X305-Q708 and X305-Q706 from Qosmio series are designed for high performance gaming. These machines are powered by three NVIDIA GPUs. NVIDIA GeForce 9400M is integrated and two GeForce 9800GTS cards work in the SLI mode. The integrated GPU is designed to enhance work power under Vista applications while the other two cards are dedicated for intensive gaming. According to Toshiba the Laptops are priced a $1,999 (Rs.94,275).
