Lenovo brings out 3 new IdeaPad notebooks from 14 inches to 16 inches

Lenovo have curtained off a new Y Series of IdeaPad notebooks, which are known as the IdeaPad Y450, Y550, and Y650 of which the IdeaPad Y650 functions as Lenovo’s 1st 16” notebook of which Lenovo claims is the lightest and thinnest notebook in its class, partly, to make use of carbon fiber in its building, which is measured just 1 inch from its thinnest point, and is weighed just 5.6 pounds.
Liu Jun, senior vice president and president, Consumer Business Group, Lenovo, who introduced the new Y Series IdeaPad range, was quoted as saying, ‘With the launch of our global consumer Idea brand a year ago, we’ve shown the world that PC technology can be powerful and beautiful. This year, we will keep pushing the limits of good design, balancing form and function, as you’ll see exhibited in our super-thin, 16-inch laptop and all-in-one desktop. This unique blend of design and engineering sets us apart from rivals and gives consumers a new kind of entertainment and computing experience.’
As the features, all three of Lenovo’s latest Y Series of notebooks come built-in with 16:9 aspect ratio, shiny widescreen displays and capable of being configured with around 4GB of DDR3 memory and 500GB capacity HDDs as well as a series of flexible Nvidia GFX graphics cards and Dolby Home Theater surround sound with the IdeaPad Y650 featuring built-in JBL speakers.
Further points of interest revealed in Lenovo’s press release take account of the adding of Lenovo’s OneKey Theater software, which the end users can use to adjust the notebook’s display and sound settings plus switch simply between gaming and movies modes along with a touch sensitive sidebar, which the users can use to call a series of file shortcuts and program.
Lenovo has stated that its latest Y Series if IdeaPad notebooks will be made available in March of 2009 together with the IdeaPad Y450 and IdeaPad Y550 pricing just $830 and the IdeaPad Y650 will come with the price of around $1,200 though, apparently, optional extras will serve to swell these prices relying on your preferred configuration.
