Lenovo preps in quad-core and Atom-based IdeaCentres K220, K230 and H200

Lenovo has announced the release of its three new desktops, known as the IdeaCentre K220, K230 and H200. The starting two desktops (IdeaCentre K220 and K230) come at the top end and are an upgrade to the older K210. The Lenovo IdeaCentre K220 and K230 boast of adding options for the fastest Core 2 Quad chips as well as more storage headroom of around 1TB, Blu-ray and GeForce 9300M GE included video, capable of offering full HD decoding.
Each model has been made a trade-off by the PC builder such as the K220 that comes with an alternative webcam with face recognition but provides 4GB of memory; whereas the K230 has a webcam but is touted to be capable of handling around 8GB of memory. That means it has more than the former one.
A K220 is prized at $539, and brags of consisting of the unusual configuration of 2GB of memory, a 2.4GHz Pentium dual-core, a 250GB hard drive and only Intel’s basic GMA X3100 video but claims to come with a Blu-ray combo drive. Notwithstanding its utmost configuration, the new K230 has the prize of around $499, and comes embedded with an equivalent graphics and processor but brags of a DVD drive, a larger 500GB hard disk and 5GB of memory.
Boasting of its IdeaCentre H200, Lenovo says that it’s the 1st Atom-based desktop that makes the most of the very low-power CPU to make the system fanless and very calm. It revolves around the specifications of the majority of usual high-end Atom systems; such as it comes with a 1.6GHz part, 1GB of memory and a 160GB hard drive but still has a DVD reader to carry out more traditional desktop tasks.
The H200 is available with the price tag of around $299; whereas a $339 version doubles the RAM to 2GB and disk space to 320GB, in addition, a $399 version comes bundled with a 19-inch display.
