Lenovo usually have never manufactured budget laptops, instead they have kept themselves busy building laptops for business purposes. However, they do seem to have sprung a surprise in the form of Ideapad G570. It is a fully packed laptop at a price that is pretty low for a laptop of this size.
Lenovo Ideapad G570 Design And Display
There is nothing different or exciting about the exteriors of this laptop. The all glossy cover gets a touch of brushed aluminium on the keyboard. Other than that it is all plastic and the solid feel and quality of superior laptops is missing.
The keypad keys are well spaced out and don’t flex when typing. Long hours of typing would be effortless on this keypad. Its 2.42-kg weight makes it easy to carry. The touchpad is also a decent size and supports multi touch gestures and scrolling.
The 15.6 inch HD LED backlit screen is glossy and has a resolution of 1366*768 pixels. It is good enough to play HD movies at 720p resolutions. Colours are vivid and contrast sharp and bright. The lid opens up only to a certain angle and reflections may also cause a problem because of its glossy nature.
Lenovo Ideapad G570 Specs And Performance
The G570 has the Intel second generation i3-2310M processor which clocks 2.10 GHz. It is assisted by a 3 GB DDR3 RAM and 640 GB of hard disk space. It has no separate graphic card and comes with Intel HD graphics only. It is only capable of playing HD videos. This might be a disappointment to gamers who might have to reduce many settings to play some good games at a decent frame rate.
The laptop comes with a 64 bit version of windows 7 home premium. Connectivity options include 3 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI slot, eSATA port, card reader, VGA and LAN port along with the usual Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi. The Intel i3 processor definitely makes things better for this budget laptop offering smooth multi tasking experience.

Lenovo Ideapad G570 Battery Life
The Lenovo G570 has a 6 cell li ion battery which gives impressive backup of around 5 hours and forms a major plus point for the laptop. The laptop also doesn’t get heated up even with the charger plugged in.
Verdict
The Lenovo G570 is definitely worth more than its price. You wouldn’t find many laptops with such specifications at this price. It is a fully fledged laptop at the price of a net book beating it in every other regard. The hard disk space is more than many of its costlier opponents.
The battery life is good and screen good for its price. If you are not much of a gamer, then this laptop will suit your needs well. The stylish finish and the sturdy build quality works in its favour. It costs around $500 and is definitely a great bargain.
