These days, a variety of LCD TVs boast of the presence of LEDs in them. Their use benefits the environment by improving energy efficiency. They also reduce the need for use of toxic chemicals such as mercury. The 47-inch LG 47LG90, priced at $3,899.95 is LGs first LCD television that has an array of LEDs in its backlight system. The resulting picture from this device is the company’s best so far in this business. Also, the device is one of the cheaper ones in the market at this time. The stand of the 47LG90 is a half-moon-shaped swivel table stand. The TV’s glossy black frame seems very artistic. Its touch-sensitive on-display controls are pierced in its blue material outline. At the bottom right-hand corner of the TV’s face is a subdued power indicator light.
As the features, the TV is equipped with a side-and-rear input panel layout. As far as connectivity options are concerned, the 47LG90 houses a total of four HDMI ports, VGA, an RF input, and two component video inputs. The TV’s audio outputs include both optical and coaxial digital connections. The TV is also capable of passing 5.1 Dolby Digital audio from all connected sources to a compatible A/V receiver. There is a serial control port which you can use with home theater automation products. The TV also boasts of a side-mounted USB port that you can use with flash storage devices that contain MP3 and JPEG multimedia files.
By default, this TV is configured for a home viewing environment. Its default preset is the super-bright Vivid preset that adds white outlines to objects. The TV provides excellent picture controls that you can use to fine-tune picture characteristics. The TV output is very clear and the color depiction is vivid, crisp, pleasant, and vey sharp. The Just Scan picture size preset in the device ensures that every pixel of 1080i or 1080p video is visible to you. This in turn ensures increased detail and clarity. The 47LG90 is an excellent eco-friendly device that is worth a try.
