LG Glance reviews – an extremely thin handset by Verizon Wireless




lg-glanceLG Glance, launched by Verizon wireless, is an extremely thin mobile handset. The handset measures only 0.38 inches in terms of thickness. If you talk of an overall design, then the design of this phone is pretty impressive and elegant at the same time. The model belongs to the family of basic phone models. Do not expect high profile features in this handset.

The phone does feature GPS capabilities and is backed by a good enough camera. The carrier Verizon Wireless offers the handset for a mere $49.99, but you will have to take a service agreement of two years under this plan.

As far as design of the handset is concerned, the set weighs about 2.92 ounces and measures 4.31 inches by 1.87 inches by 0.38 inches. The phone boasts of round corners and an extremely slim body. The phone sports a decent display of size 2 inches and the screen offers a native resolution of 320 × 240 pixels and 262k colors. If you think the resolution is a problem, then rest assured because the text and colors on the phone look very crisp and bright. The phone is very user friendly and you will find it extremely easy to navigate through the phone menu. The phone sports a spacious number keypad. You will also find a 2.5mm headset jack on the phone.

The phone book of this handset can hold up to 1,000 entries. The phone comes with 23 polyphonic ringtones and comprises common features like a speakerphone, a tip calculator, a calendar, an alarm clock, a world clock, a notepad, a stopwatch among others. Features like voice command and stereo Bluetooth also find a place in the handset. The phone also features a dedicated GPS function, accompanied by a wireless Web browser.

The camera of this phone is a 1.3 megapixels camera. The camera options include five color effects and five white balance settings options. The photo quality from this camera is also very good. The Glance also lets you to personalize it by using various themes, wallpapers, and banners. As far as battery life is concerned, the LG Glance offers a battery life of 4.3 hours on a round of single charge.

    Great phone, if elementary. Got 4 for zero dollars! Thin, fits in pocket very comfortably. The cross-hatched golden battery cover on the back is attractive, IMO. Only one down side: Too easy to accidentally bump the keys.
