This week LG launched its new eco-friendly and ecologically sound mobile phone called as the LG Remarq. The announcement was done at CTIA 2010. The phone is jointly brought to all by LG and Sprint. LG Remarq is 3.50 x 2.50 x 0.60 inches and is Li – Ion, 900 mAh type of battery. It is a slider phone with QWERTY keyboard. It gives 3G capable network facility. The resolution of the main display is 320 x 240 pixels. The power of the camera is 1.3 megapixels resolution. The features of the camera includes digital zooming and the talk time given by it is 5.5 hours (330 minutes). The weight of the camera is 3.80 oz (108 g).
As the reviews, the multimedia feature includes a music player and a video playback. The keyboard used is full keyboard which is QWERTY. This device has predictive text input. The network provided by LG Remarq is 1xEV-DO rev.0 and is 3G capable. Internet connectivity allows everyone to access the Web. USB connectivity and 2.1 Stereo Bluetooth is also provided with this device. The memory slot provided by LG Remarq is microSD/microSDHC. The other features of the phone includes GPS facility. Speaker phone and voice recording are also provided with LG Remarq.
The phonebook LG Remarq allows us to store multiple numbers per contact. There are caller groups as an added feature in LG Remarq. Also Ring ID and Picture ID are also provided along with this phone. The type of the network used is CDMA dual band. LG Remarq has 16GB expandable memory and GPRS/EDGE connectivity. It has QVGA display and Bluetooth facility. This is an eco-friendly device with 19 percent of recycled plastic and 87 percent of recyclable materials. LG Remarq has Stereo Bluetooth and microsd slot. This phone delivers instant messaging.
With the help of internet facility all the users of the world have access to Photobucket and Facebook. The device comes with low levels of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and also satisfies the criteria standards given by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. They bring up with a user manual which is available online. This also comes up with an Eco calculator application. The handset has very less amount of PVC and BFRs. LG Remarq conatains soy ink for packaging. This device is expected to arrive by May 9. This phone would pose a clear example in an attempt to the great concern of ecological balance. The packaging of phone contains 87 % post-consumer materials and is made from 19% recovered plastic. The price of this mobile phone has not been released.
