LG to intro HDTVs with VUDU HD movie service

LG has plans to roll out its broadband HDTVs, which are claimed to allow access to the hi-def movie service from VUDU Inc. These services, the company says, will be offered in addition to the PS80 Plasma 1080p and LG LH50 1080p LCD series.
The VUDU movie on-demand service will help users rent out or purchase movies and TV titles from a wide-ranging library. Users can utilize the service but for buying, installing or getting hooked up with any extra hardware. As the reviews, the service provides content streamed in a distinctive HDX format. The streamed movies boasts of offering Dolby Digital Plus 5.1 surround sound and 1080p resolution.
Peter Reiner, senior vice president, marketing and strategy, LG Electronics USA said that our agreement with VUDU additionally shows LG’s pledge to give the key HD viewing experience, by providing real-time access to more than 1080p movie content. VUDU lays emphasizes on the superb video quality of ‘Full HD’ sets in conjunction with NetCast Entertainment Access, at the same time, it also allows access to thousands of HD movies with just one touch.
As the features, users can also make use of the VUDU service if they want to rewind, fast forward or surf via the chapters of TV serials and movies.
LG, in addition to the VUDU service, is also planning to reveal NetCast Entertainment Access. Users can take advantage of this function to make access to videos, movies and TV shows through an Ethernet connection. The HDTV are ranged between 42- to 60-inch class sizes.
The LG 50PS80 HDTVs and LG 47LH50 along with NetCast Entertainment Access can be availed at nationwide retailers with the respective price tag of around $1,699, $1,799. The LG 60PS80 and the LG 42LH50 are expected to be shipped in soon whereas current LG Broadband TV owners are expected to be shipped with VUDU service in September.
