With the market full of budget friendly monitors, the competition in this domain has become very fierce. With this observation in mind, LG has now released its W2261V 21.5-inch monitor. The LCD monitor boasts of a full High Definition functionality with a 20,000:1 Digital Fine Contrast ratio. The monitor is available in a shiny black color and a matching stand. The screw-in wing-nut present on the monitor stand makes it easily movable. The dimensions of the monitor are 51.90 cm × 39.28cm × 19.32cm. It weighs a hefty 4.2kg. The monitor offers an excellent viewing angle of 170 degrees.

The monitor has a classy, dew-shaped, power button that glows red when on and is touch sensitive. The monitor comprises inputs like D-sub, DVI-D and HDMI inputs. The monitor is near perfect for activities like playing hardcore games and watching Blu-ray movies. The monitor has a conventional full HD 16:9 viewing and offers a native resolution of the order 1920 × 1080 resolution. A special function in the menu of the monitor cuts out the usual distortion faced when the user tries to watch pictures that originate in 4:3 aspect.

The right hand edge of the monitor is covered by the main control buttons. The FUN button in the menu covers EZ Zooming. This feature changes the display resolution by single-step increments when attached to a PC). The FUN button also covers controls for the 4:3 mode and Photo Effect. The display output is impressive, with crisp, sharp and vivid colors. The brightness for Blu-ray movies is equally impressive. The LG W2261V is available at a price of £179 including VAT. All in all, the LG W2261V is an impressive display with effective performance.
