Measuring 3.89×1.93×0.66, the LG Wine is available from U.S. Cellular for $29.95 via two-year service agreement. The 3.32 ounces handset is available in two color variants – white and red. The handset has standard flip phone design, which means it has an external display and camera on the front.
The external display measures 1.3 inches and displays all the necessary information like caller ID, time, signal strength, and battery. The external display also works as self-portrait viewfinder for the camera, which is located just above the external display. The left side of the handset houses volume rocker along with charger jack, while the right edge houses a camera control and headset jack.
The LG Wine boasts of a 2.2-inch internal display, which has native resolution of 240×320 pixels and supports 262k colors. The handset has standard navigation array, which include four-way circular toggle with central OK button, two soft keys, speakerphone control, Back button, Talk and the End/Power buttons. Other than the standard navigation array, the keypad also houses four dedicated shortcut buttons. These shortcuts can be used to launch alarm clock, messaging menu, images folder, and U.S. Cellular’s EasyEdge online store.
The LG Wine offers all the features of a basic handset along with some advanced features. The basic features include 1,000-entry phone book, vibrate mode, calendar, tip calculator, speakerphone, text messaging, MMS, memo pad, calculator, alarm clock, world clock, stopwatch, and unit converter. The advanced features include Bluetooth, voice commands, location-based navigation, mobile e-mail, and mobile Web browser.
The LG Wine boasts of 1.3-megapixel camera that captures stills in five resolutions, from 1280×960 down to 160×120. You can choose from four color effects, three quality settings, and five white balance presets. Other camera features include digital zoom, self-timer, night and multi-shot modes, adjustable brightness, and four shutter sounds along with a silent option. The handset does not have built-in camcorder or music player. The LG Wine offers internal memory only 48MB.
The LG Wine has a rated battery life of 4 hours talk time and 7 days standby time.
