The market is full of portable speaker systems that also work as docking stations for all versions of iPod. But there are very few docking stations that are specifically designed for iPod Touch or iPhone. Its unique design is developed by keeping in mind that both of these device are touch-screen based. Even though, it sound is not stellar but this sound, but this $80 compact speaker system is definitely going to attract iPod/iPhone use just because of its innovative design.
Though it will not fit in the standard sized pockets, the Livespeakr will easily fit the pocket of most carry bags or back packs. As the features, the “storage mode” as dubbed by the manufacturer, this ultra-portable system measures just 6.5 inches wide, 2.5 inches high, and 1.8 inches deep even if your iPod Touch/iPhone is docked with it. In the storage mode, its 1.5-inch speakers are folded and are tucked behind the player. In the Portrait mode, also called the speaker enhancement mode, the player is rotated 90 degrees. If the player is rotated further 90 degrees, the device is in Landscape Mode, also called movie enjoyment mode. In this, the speakers are on the sides of the player.
You will have to use the integrated stand while you are using the system in portrait and landscape modes. The stand is solidly built and is made of metal. It slides out of the system to raise it above the surface and you can rotate it at three different viewing angles. Other than the stand, the system is made of plastic and is available in black and white colors. It can be charged via Mini-USB charger and the battery has rated playback time of 16 hours.
