Make XP & Vista Boot in 4 Seconds

Most of the people now-a-days don’t want to keep their computers switched off, instead they like to keep them up and running for 24 hours a day, as it takes such a long time for a system to boot up again every time that it seems nothing but wastage of time. But, now, you don’t need to worry as the Taiwan-based motherboard maker Asustek has triumphed over the technical difficulties and has exclusively brought about a new technology, which lets you turn on your computer in just a blink of an eye! Not it just saves money, energy, but it also helps system running speed.

The new gimmick, which is dubbed as Instant Boot, boasts of cutting Windows booting process down to four seconds! The latest technology utilizes the S3 and S4 states of the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) that allows Hibernation modes and Windows Sleep to position user system into sleep mode while shutting down after that bypassing the bios process when booting up.

Of course, it’s nothing awe-inspiring; the feature twists and use the same old technology into more easy to use way. Take me back on my reliable Vmware fusion in suspect mode, boot and within three seconds. However, the Instant Boot is compatible with on Windows systems sprinting Vista or XP without the need of password protection and a single-user account.

Fast mode makes use of S3 and boots up in 4 seconds whereas the less belligerent regular mode utilizes S4 and takes almost twenty seconds to boot. This feature is applicable to both Windows XP and Windows Vista!

Yet in its early development, but the company has launched bios to allow Instant Boot on company’s budget wing AsRocks’ boards, which are based upon Intel’s P45 & P43 chipsets and AMD’s 780G and 790GX chipsets.
