Microsoft intros Zune HD with OLED touchscreen


microsoft-zune-hdThe most-rumored and hyped next-Gen handheld music player Zune HD has finally been shown a green signal by Redmond-based Microsoft. The big giant of the computer world is also said to have extended the Zune video services to the Xbox LIVE subscribers along with Zune HD.

An enhanced and advanced version of the Zune devices, the Zune HD boasts of offering a high-quality viewing and listening experience. As the features, the device comes incorporated with a HD Radio receiver, which claims to allow users extra programs and augmented sound quality. As the reviews, the handheld music player is expected to be shipped in the US market during his fall.

Enrique Rodriguez, corporate VP of the Microsoft TV, Video and Music Business Group, said that the Zune music player has a lead role to play in the whole Zune experience, and it is matter of feeling proud that we are progressing and broadening our offer further than the device. Offering on Microsoft’s hooked entertainment vision, this news comes like a decisive moment for Zune as it brags of brining best video content and cross platform experiences to living rooms worldwide.

Users can make use of the OLED touchscreen to navigate through the contents with ease. The screen comes encompassed with resolution of 480 x 272 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio. The Zune HD also comes built-in with hi-def video output system, which users can use to get connected with the media player with the help of a best HDMI audiovisual docking station direct to an HD TV. You will have to buy this docking wire separately.

The media player is also likely to come featured with Internet browser, which is crafted specifically for multi-touch functionality. This Wi-Fi-based player also boasts of allowing instant streaming of tracks from the Zune music store.

As to the pricing details of the much awaited Microsoft Zune HD, there is no word up till now; we may have to wait a little longer.
